Digital Communications Specialist


Description: Under the direction of the Creative & Digital Communications Director, the Digital Communications Intern is responsible for input into the strategy and development of the department and execution of multi-channel digital marketing including but not limited to online, mobile, social, email, text, search, display, and digital content development. The intern ensures the success of digital strategies and projects through the development of measurable strategic programs and campaigns.


1. Bachelor’s degree or Candidate (Senior) in Social Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, or related field

2. Solid working knowledge of social media, applications, analytics, and trends; strong web content management skills

 3. Advanced skills with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Constant Contact, and blogging platforms, Hootsuite, Wufoo

4. Advanced writing, communication and editing skills

5. Strong knowledge of principles and applications of SEO-Search Engine Optimization

6. Analytical ability to translate information from disparate sources into program applications and recommendations – solutions oriented

7. Experience with web content management, WordPress and familiarity/experience with HTML

8. Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

9. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

10. Experience with video production software

11. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

12. Strong problem-solving, strategic-thinking skills, creativity and innovation skills

13. Ability to relate well with staff and general public and have excellent  organizational and  interpersonal skills
