Open Volunteer Positions with PRSA Virginia Peninsula chapter:

Newsletter Editor: Develop a newsletter on a recurring basis in support of the goals and objectives of the chapter. Gather news and information, format and proof, gather board approval and provide the completed product to be published electronically for members. Use public relations principles to design a high-quality e-publication.

APR Chair: Develop an understanding of the Accreditation in Public Relations program. Serve as a mentor to APR seekers. Set up study sessions and readiness review panels. Assist members as needed in pursuit of accreditation.

Blogger: This volunteer position requires a high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills and is able to maintain the chapter blog of the PRSA Virginia Peninsula Chapter. The successful candidate will research and write articles in a conversational, engaging style. Each blog entry will reinforce the Chapter’s main objectives: offer best practices information, create a sense of community, offer continuing education information, provide a connection to the national organization, and create an opportunity for reader comments. more...
